First Aid, CPR & AED Training and Certification

OSHA requires employers to provide a safe and healthy workplace reasonably free of occupational hazards. However, accidents do happen.

Accidents and emergencies happen anywhere, at any time. According to the centers for Disease Control and Prevention, there are hundreds of millions of emergency department visits for injuries and illnesses in the United States every year.

First aid is the first and immediate assistance given to any person suffering from either a minor or serious illness or injury, with care provided to preserve life, prevent the condition from worsening, or to promote recovery. It includes initial intervention in a serious condition prior to professional medical help being available, such as performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) while waiting for an ambulance, as well as the complete treatment of minor conditions, such as applying a plaster to a cut. In some occasions it requires the operation of an automated external defibrillator (AED), a lightweight, portable device that delivers an electric shock through the chest to the heart.

OSHA requires employers to provide a safe and healthy workplace reasonably free of occupational hazards. However, accidents do happen. When does my First Aid-CPR-AED certification expire?

The certification expires two years after the course completion date. Before the certification expires you will need to take another re-qualification course as appropriate, to obtain another two year certificate.
